In 1985 I joined the Navy, and was a Construction Mechanic in the SeaBees.
After 9/11 I started wishing I could be doing something more, so I enlisted
in the US Army. Yep, after almost 20 years out of the military, I was a Private again.
In May of 2007 I was mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom and did one year in Iraq with the I MEF (Marine
Expeditionary Forces) in Iraq. I did 9 months in Fallujah and 3 months in Al Asad.
