I work at IBM in Boulder, Colorado as a SAN Designer. I just started this after having spent more than
14 years as an AIX System Administrator.
as of this Year, I've been married for 18 years
and we have a Daughter who is 9.

Completed:
- Trained as a missionary in South Africa
- Preached to natives in Swaziland and Lesotho
- have visited many parts of Africa by 4x4 vehicle with 4x4 club of SA
- Climbed Pikes Peak ( +14k feet ) in Colorado in winter ( -50f at night )
- Climbed Grays peak ( +14k feet ) in Colorado
- Dive master and Master Diver Scuba certifications - South Africa, Mocambique
- Did Deep diving specialties and have scuba dived to over 60 meters ( experienced
nitrogen narcosis while cave diving )
- Rode 6 bulls learning bullriding with Mike White and Rob Smets - made whistle on one
- Have Skydived
- Have piloted ultralight aircraft
- customized many cars (turbos and superchargers ) and raced the 1/4 mile
- rode a honda across America for 9 months
- Rode a Harley 2000 miles in 5 days
- have Rock climbed in Colorado
- have been rappelling
- Mountain biking in Colorado
- Have been snowboarding
- Have built serveral competition grade Car audio systems
- Have seen Hippos, Lions, Crocodiles and more at Game Lodge in SA
- Worked the computer desk at Miss World competition in SA and had dinner with Contestants
- Worked the computer desk for Sting in concert in SA
- Rode an Elephant
- got my Ham Radio license
- have Read the Bible from cover to cover
- Entered a Pistol Competition. came in 3rd.
- have fired a mac 10 on full auto with silencer
- reload my own rifle and pistol bullets
- Owned a Land Rover
- Was in the US Navy SeaBees
- Was a Medic in the US Army
- Worked for the Space and Missile Defense Command in the US Army
- Have owned and ridden Superbikes
- broken bones racing motorcross
- Entered a motocross race in South Africa
- Entered a 400km Bicycle race through the transvaal of South Africa ( Johannesburg to Durban )
- I have swam in the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans
- Achieved every IBM AIX Certification possible 1996-2000
- first person to ever develop a comms program for one model of olivetti cash register ( in C )
- Smoked Cuban Cigars in South Africa
- Honeymooned in Cape Town, South Africa
- Swam with sharks in Aliwol Shoal, Durban South Africa
- Held onto giant Sea Turtle while scuba diving in Indian Ocean, Sodwana.
- Attended Sniper School
- Entered an Archery competition
- learned to cast bullets and have fired bullets I cast from lead.
- Did one year in Iraq with the Marines
- Earned my Air Force Space wings
- I got Tasered (in training) and then Taser Certified
- I got Maced (in training)
- I got trained on the PIT maneuver and Certified
- I got my Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance
still to do:
- complete a successful hunt ( ie. eat something I shot )
- go white water rafting
- hunt big game in Africa
- visit Kruger National Park
- visit Alaska
- go dog sledding
- go ice climbing
- learn to sail
- learn morse code
- learn a foreign language ( but which one ? )
- hot air balloon
